NC State has secured a commitment from center Paul Mbiya for the 2025 basketball recruiting class. The 6-foot-10 post player previously considered Kansas, Oregon, and Kansas State before selecting the Wolfpack.

Mbiya, 20, is currently testing the NBA Draft process. He is scheduled to participate in an event for professional scouts in Treviso, Italy, from May 31 to June 2.

He has been playing in the ProA U21 league in France for ASVEL. This season, Paul Mbiya is averaging 15.5 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 3.1 blocks per game.

Mbiya began playing basketball three years ago at the NBA Academy in Senegal.

The commitment adds a key piece for NC State coach Will Wade. The Wolfpack already had commitments from in-state center Zymicah Wilkins in the 2025 class.

NC State also has several additions via the transfer portal, including Alyn Breed, Quadir Copeland, and Jerry Deng.

The deadline for college players to withdraw from the NBA Draft is May 28. The NBA's early entry withdrawal deadline is June 15.

Mbiya recently completed an official visit to Oregon.
