Angel Reese, the former LSU star, made a successful return to campus Friday as the Chicago Sky defeated the Brazilian national team 89-62 in a WNBA exhibition game.
Playing at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, where she led LSU to a national championship in 2023, Reese posted a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
The event served as a homecoming for Reese and fellow former LSU player Hailey Van Lith, who also recently joined the Sky. Fans packed the arena, providing support reminiscent of major college games. Fans packed the Pete Maravich Assembly Center for the preseason contest.
