USC basketball star JuJu Watkins received top honors at the university's annual awards ceremony.

Watkins was named Female Athlete of the Year at the Tommy Awards held Wednesday, capping a sophomore season marked by numerous accolades.

She previously earned several national player of the year awards, including the Naismith Trophy, Wooden Award, AP Player of the Year, USBWA Player of the Year, The Athletic Player of the Year and the Dawn Staley Award.

The guard also secured Big Ten Player of the Year honors and helped lead USC to the Big Ten regular-season championship.

During the season, Watkins averaged 23.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.8 blocks per game.

She set new USC records, becoming the fastest player to reach 1,000 career points and establishing a single-season scoring record. She finished the year with 21 career 30-point games.

One notable performance included a game against then-No. 1 UCLA at Galen Center where she recorded 38 points, 11 rebounds, eight blocks and five assists in the USC win.
