Pablo López recorded a season-high 11 strikeouts and Carlos Correa hit an upper-deck home run Tuesday as the Minnesota Twins defeated the Baltimore Orioles 9-1.

Byron Buxton also hit a three-run homer in the seventh inning and drove in four runs in total for the Twins.
Ryan Jeffers added a two-run single in the third, scoring Willi Castro and Byron Buxton to give the Twins an early advantage.
The victory marked the Twins' third consecutive win and broke a streak of 10 consecutive losses to Baltimore. The Twins also surpassed five runs against the Orioles for the first time in 11 meetings.López, who lowered his ERA to 2.18, fanned the side in the first, third and fifth innings. He finished his five innings having allowed one run.
The Twins welcomed back Royce Lewis from the injured list, who served as the designated hitter in his season debut but did not record a hit. Willi Castro also returned and played left field, getting a hit and a walk.
Orioles batters struggled, tallying only three singles. Every player in the Baltimore lineup struck out at least once.Twins pitchers combined for 17 strikeouts, approaching the franchise record for a nine-inning game.
Baltimore had not named a starting pitcher for Wednesday's game as of late Tuesday. Minnesota is scheduled to send Simeon Woods Richardson to the mound.
