The Kansas City Royals set a franchise record by hitting seven home runs Sunday in an 11-6 victory against the Baltimore Orioles.
The power display came from a team that had the fewest home runs in major league baseball heading into the game.
Maikel Garcia led the way for Kansas City with two home runs, his first career multi-homer game.
Other Royals players contributing home runs included Jonathan India, who hit his first homer with the club, Luke Maile, Bobby Witt Jr., Vinnie Pasquantino, and Michael Massey.
The two teams combined for 10 solo home runs in the contest, tying a major league record. Baltimore's homers came from Jackson Holliday, who hit two, Ryan O'Hearn, and Cedric Mullins.
The Royals Score resulted in an 11-6 win, securing a series win for Kansas City in Baltimore for the first time since 2014.
Manager Matt Quatraro reflected on the offensive output.
"Pretty remarkable," Quatraro said. "We made so much how we struggled offensively. A day like that is very satisfying."
