The Arizona Diamondbacks revealed their new Nike City Connect uniforms, bringing back the purple and teal colors associated with the franchise’s early history. The uniforms debuted Monday morning, featuring a design that blends past looks with a modern style.The updated uniforms replace the previous sand-colored set the team wore since 2021. The new look draws inspiration from the team’s original colors, first used in 1998.
Central to the design is the "Serpientes" script wordmark across the chest, a constant from the first City Connect iteration. This version features the script in electric teal set against a predominantly purple jersey.
The jersey incorporates a snakeskin pattern within the pinstripes, a nod to earlier uniform designs. Sleeves feature a darker purple shade with braiding detail.
Further elements include an "Arizona Born" graphic on the inner collar and a patch on the sleeve showing the D-backs' "A" logo integrated with the Arizona state flag. A jock tag honors the team's 1998 entry into MLB and Arizona's status as the 48th state.
The D-backs City Connect 2025 uniforms will debut on the field Friday against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The team plans to wear them for Friday home games throughout the 2025 season.Players expressed support for the return of the original colors. Gear featuring the new design became available Monday at the team shop at Chase Field.
