A multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 805 southbound Saturday morning resulted in one fatality and forced a complete shutdown of the freeway's southbound lanes.
The collision occurred around 8:50 a.m. near the Palm Avenue exit, just north of 43rd Street. San Diego Fire Department officials reported five vehicles were involved in the incident.
One person died at the scene. Four others were reported four others injured and transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. (Source)
