Singer Brad Arnold of the rock band 3 Doors Down announced Wednesday a Stage 4 cancer diagnosis, leading the band to cancel all scheduled tour dates for the rest of 2025.

Arnold, 46, revealed in a social media video message that he has been diagnosed with clear cell renal cell carcinoma. The kidney cancer has metastasized to his lungs, resulting in a Stage 4 diagnosis.

The sudden cancellation affects headlining shows, festival appearances, and dates supporting the band CREED. Among the specific events canceled is the band's scheduled performance on August 27, 2025, in Walla Walla concert details.

Arnold described the diagnosis as "not real good" in his video statement. The band's official band website has been updated, reflecting the widespread cancellations.

Despite the severity, Arnold expressed faith and optimism regarding his health battle. He referenced the band's song "It's Not My Time," suggesting it now holds personal significance for him.

Fans and fellow musicians responded to the announcement with messages of support. Artists such as Scott Stapp of CREED and Chris Daughtry offered encouragement and prayers.

At the Walla Walla Fair, Fair Manager Greg Lybeck stated a new headliner for the August 27 date will be announced on Monday, May 12, along with information for ticket holders.

Brad Arnold has fronted 3 Doors Down since its formation in 1996. The band gained prominence with their debut single "Kryptonite."

Arnold requested prayers from fans during this time.

“We serve a mighty God, and he can over overcome anything," Arnold said. "So I have no fear.”
