The nominees for the Outer Critics Circle Awards 2025, honoring the best of the 2024-2025 Broadway and Off-Broadway seasons, were announced today during a livestreamed event. This year marks the 75th anniversary for the organization.
The musical Death Becomes Her secured the most recognitions with twelve nominations. Following closely was Maybe Happy Ending with nine nominations.
In the play categories, Stranger Things: The First Shadow received the highest number of nominations with seven, while The Hills of California garnered six nods.
The announcement was hosted live from the Museum of Broadway by actors Cole Escola and Conrad Ricamora. Both were nominated last season for their work in Oh, Mary!.
The prestigious John Gassner Award, recognizing a new American play preferably by a new playwright, includes nominees Emil Weinstein for Becoming Eve, George Clooney and Grant Heslov for Good Night, and Good Luck, Marin Ireland for Pre-Existing Condition, Lia Romeo for Still, and Amy Berryman for Walden.
The organization will commemorate its 75th anniversary with a cocktail reception on Monday, April 28, at West Bank Café. This event honors nominees, past winners, and members.

Winners for the 75th Anniversary Outer Critics Circle Awards are scheduled for announcement on Monday, May 12, 2025. An awards ceremony will follow on Thursday, May 22, 2025.
