The latest episode of the TLC series "Sister Wives" showed the moment family member Meri Brown learned of the death of Garrison Brown. He was the son of Kody Brown and Janelle Brown.

The scene began with Meri Brown preparing for a filmed interview for the program. She received a call from Kody Brown but initially did not answer, telling a producer he could text her.

Kody Brown called again shortly after, and Meri Brown read a text message, stating it was an emergency. She then answered the call.

The screen faded to black with a message stating Garrison Brown passed away on March 5, 2024. He was 25 years old.

The episode included an interview with Janelle Brown, who recounted that her son Gabriel Brown discovered his brother Garrison Brown had died. The cause of death was suicide.

Meri Brown later described the conversation with Kody Brown. She recalled him saying, "Garrison took his life." She stated the news felt "weird, weird, surreal," and she questioned him asking, "Are you kidding me?"

She then left to go to Kody and Robyn Brown's house and saw Gwendlyn Brown, one of Kody Brown and Christine Brown Woolley's daughters. Meri Brown said Gwendlyn "hung on" to her.

Meri Brown called Janelle Brown to offer support, stating she was getting food and would be over soon.

Later, Meri Brown mentioned a private viewing held for family and friends after Garrison Brown's death. She described it as the last time they saw his body and called the experience "really, really difficult" and painful.

Kody Brown discussed the tragedy in an interview segment. He said his strongest memories from the days following were being at the funeral home with Janelle Brown and feeling like he could only say "I’m sorry" to others.
