Seven performers will join the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2025, following an announcement of the new class. The list includes artists from hip-hop, pop, grunge, blues rock, and garage rock.

The performer category inductees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees class are Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Cyndi Lauper, Outkast, Soundgarden, and The White Stripes.

These artists were selected from a list of 14 nominees. Voting was conducted by a group of over 1,200 music industry members, historians, and previously inducted artists.

The induction ceremony is scheduled for November 8 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The event will stream live on Disney+ and later appear on Hulu and ABC.

In addition to the performers, the Rock Hall will present other awards. Salt-N-Pepa and Warren Zevon will receive the Musical Influence Award. The Musical Excellence Award will honor Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins, and Carol Kaye. Record executive Lenny Waronker will be recognized with the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

Eligibility requires an individual artist or band to have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years before the year of nomination.

Several artists nominated this year did not make the final list, including Mariah Carey and Oasis, who were nominated for a second time. Phish won the fan vote but was not inducted.

Chubby Checker, known for the song "The Twist," enters the Hall after decades of eligibility. In 2001, he published a message advocating for his induction and recognition for his song's cultural impact.

John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, commented on the selections. "Each of these inductees created their own sound and attitude that had a profound impact on culture and helped to change the course of Rock & Roll forever," Sykes said in a press release. "Their music gave a voice to generations and influenced countless artists that followed in their footsteps."
