Country artist Blake Shelton plans to release his new album, "For Recreational Use Only," on May 9. The 12-song project features collaborations with several artists.

The album includes a track titled "All of My Love," co-written by The Swon Brothers. Blake Shelton has a relationship with Zach and Colton Swon dating back to their time on The Voice competition series in 2013. Blake Shelton called the brothers "good dudes and super talented."

Other guests appearing on the album include Craig Morgan on "Heaven Sweet Home" and John Anderson on "Years." Shelton recorded "Hangin' On" with his wife, Gwen Stefani, a song co-written by Charles Kelley.

Blake Shelton said the collaboration with Stefani required pushing their vocal abilities. He described the song, co-written by Kelley, as well written.

Shelton explained that he had "Heaven Sweet Home" for years before adding Morgan. He also noted that the song "Years" with Anderson had been planned since 2020, delayed by the pandemic. Shelton expressed his relief that Anderson likely did not think he had forgotten about the collaboration.

Shelton indicated that rapper Post Malone helped reignite his interest in making a new album. After collaborating on Malone's song "Pour Me A Drink," Shelton said Malone's enthusiasm for Country music was a necessary reminder.

The recent single "Texas" has climbed charts ahead of the album release. Shelton called the song a "once in a lifetime" track and noted the inclusion of George Strait references. Achieving a 30th number one song with "Texas" would impact him, Shelton added.

Reflecting on his career and recent work, Blake Shelton voiced appreciation for his position in music. "I get to be a Country singer and a handful of people in the world get to do what I do," he said.
