Actress Charlize Theron departed Sydney Friday after spending months in Australia filming an upcoming thriller. The star wrapped production on "Apex," a film set to explore a rock climber who becomes a target.
Theron was spotted at Sydney Airport wearing dark sunglasses and a fedora. She wore casual clothing for her flight, including a denim jacket and track pants. Theron appeared eager to board her flight but took time to interact with staff.
She had been in the country since February shooting the film. Charlize Theron arrived alongside co-star Taron Egerton for the project.
"Apex" is directed by Baltasar Kormákur and written by Jeremy Robbins. The film is described as a hunt story set in the wild.
Charlize Theron is also a producer on the project through her company Denver and Delilah Productions. She is joined by producers Dawn Olmstead, Beth Kono, and AJ Dix, among others from Chernin Entertainment and RVK Productions.

During her time in Australia, Theron was seen attending a Dua Lipa concert with her two daughters last month.
Following "Apex," the actress is expected to move onto other projects. These include the fantasy film "The Odyssey" and the upcoming superhero sequel "The Old Guard 2," set for a July 2 Netflix release.
Charlize Theron has maintained a prominent career for nearly three decades. She received an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Aileen Wuornos in "Monster." Her film credits include "Mad Max: Fury Road," which featured a memorable scene involving her character Furiosa, and other projects like "The Italian Job" and "Atomic Blonde." She is also known for her activism, supporting women's rights and efforts against HIV/AIDS in Africa.
