Jake Schreier, the director of Thunderbolts, spoke about the sequence involving Pugh. He mentioned that safety experts initially denied the stunt multiple times. However, Schreier told PEOPLE that Pugh "just would not let it die," indicating her resolve to execute the jump.

The scene, featured in the film's trailer, shows Pugh's character performing a leap off a skyscraper. Marvel was originally unsure about the dive, suggesting the stunt presented challenges during production.
