Dannielynn Birkhead paid tribute to her late mother, Anna Nicole Smith, during the 2025 Kentucky Derby weekend events in Louisville, Kentucky.
On Friday night, Birkhead, 18, attended the Barnstable Brown Gala wearing a black gown her late mother wore to the same event 21 years prior. The dress featured diamonds across the back.
Birkhead continued the tribute on Saturday, May 3, at the Kentucky Derby race itself. She wore some of Anna Nicole Smith's gold jewelry, including a pendant necklace, a watch, and bangles.
She paired the gold accessories with a pale blue strapless tulle dress by Mac Duggal for the race event.
Larry Birkhead, Dannielynn's father, accompanied her to the annual events. He coordinated his outfit with his daughter's, wearing a cream suit with a light blue shirt and patterned tie.
Attending the Kentucky Derby is a yearly tradition for the father-daughter pair. Larry Birkhead met Anna Nicole Smith at the Derby in 2003. He has brought Dannielynn back each year since she was old enough to understand the connection.
Larry Birkhead fought to establish his paternal rights after Anna Nicole Smith died in 2007, when Dannielynn was 5 months old. A DNA test confirmed his paternity, and he has since raised Dannielynn in Kentucky.
Dannielynn recently turned 18 in September, celebrating with a Beetlejuice-themed party.
The annual tradition sees the pair drawing attention for their outfits each year. Larry Birkhead noted the expectation for their looks has grown.
Dannielynn shared with Access Hollywood how wearing her mother's dress made her feel. "I can't know my mom, sadly, and this is one of the only reasons and ways I can. This is the closest I'll ever be getting to a hug from her."
