Singer Lana Del Rey attended the 2025 Met Gala, with her accessories drawing attention for their connection to her husband, Jeremy Dufrene. Her hairstyle included golden alligator clips, interpreted by many as a tribute to Dufrene's profession.

Dufrene, a native of Des Allemands, Louisiana, works as a bayou tour guide specializing in trips featuring alligators. The couple married in September 2024, and this marked Del Rey's first Met Gala appearance since their wedding.

The alligator clips worn by Del Rey were designed and crafted by Relic Room, a new accessories line based in New Orleans. The brand is co-founded by Lilly Meissner and Kamila Chavis. Relic Room is scheduled to launch publicly later this month. The brand's designs include other pieces featuring spiders, insects, and bird feet.

Del Rey’s look for the event also included a Valentino Haute Couture gown styled by the fashion house's creative director, Alessandro Michele, who accompanied her on the red carpet. Her hairstyle, an updo with pin curls, was created by hairstylist Anna Cofone.

Del Rey's relationship with Jeremy Dufrene began after she took a boat tour in Louisiana. Sources reported Dufrene was initially unaware of her fame, which was described as a refreshing aspect for the singer.

They first met in 2019 when Del Rey performed in Louisiana but were in other relationships at the time. The pair reconnected in May 2024 during Hangout Fest when both were single. Their romance developed from there.

Her makeup for the gala, handled by artist Pamela Cochrane, complemented the elegant appearance. Cochrane described the look as channeling "the elegance of Black dandyism and a nod to 1950s glamour."

Cochrane noted the makeup included precise eyebrows and soft, powdery lips. "We kept the brow sharp and precise, almost architectural," Cochrane said.

"The lips were soft and powdery, like velvet," Cochrane stated.
